While September is the official start to fall, October is the "pumpkin" month to me, ha! Of all of the many pumpkin-flavored treats out this time of year, pumpkin bread has to be one of my favorites. Today I'm sharing my SUPER yummy and easy pumpkin bread recipe, it's my favorite I've ever had!
The BEST Pumpkin Bread 🎃
Adapted from The Domestic Rebel
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8" or 9" loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until creamy, about 1 minute. Add the eggs, vanilla, and pumpkin and beat until well combined.
- Add in the flour and spices mixture and stir until just combined. Mixture may be slightly lumpy, but don't overmix!
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth out the top. Bake for 45-55 minutes (mine usually takes 50 minutes), or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean or with moist crumbs. Cool for about 10 minutes, then invert loaf onto a wire rack to cool completely.
If you want to get extra fancy, you can add a glaze! Just mix 1 cup of powdered sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon with a couple of tablespoons of milk until you get your desired texture. Pour over cooled bread and let set.
I hope you love the recipe! It's a great one to make to give away to friends and neighbors this time of year, people always appreciate it!
