Sweater Dress & Social Distancing

Well, it's safe to say this is the first Friday I haven't been looking forward to in as long as I can remember. It's crazy how last weekend I was spending time with my best friend celebrating her birthday, and this weekend I don't expect to see anyone besides Kenny and maybe my parents. This temporary new normal that coronavirus has driven us to is strange, but I'm hoping that in the end, it's for the best.

I can honestly say these past couple of weeks have been the weirdest time in my life, I don't know anyone who's ever been through anything quite like this! I have friends up and down the east coast and the COVID situation has affected each of their homes differently so far, but it's definitely a universally strange time for everyone. I heard someone remark about how something so simple as going to the grocery store feels so alien now, and I fully agree. In spite of all that, I want to try and keep things *mostly* normal on the blog. I know you've been inundated with coronavirus news and discussion and rumors everywhere else!

This sweater dress is perfect for this time of year, especially now, whether you're going into the office or working from home. This particular dress is a few years old from Zara, but I found two other pretty and affordable options here and here.

One of the best working-from-home tips that I like to employ is getting ready as you normally would to help get myself in gear for the workday. You definitely DON'T have to get dressed to the nines just to work out of your home (from the couch, in my case), but something cozy like a sweater dress is the perfect thing to wear to make you feel a little dressy without feeling stuffy.

These boots are a staple for me, even for spring. I love styling them with dresses and skirts, the block heels make your legs look super long.

I hope you have a fun weekend! Let me know if you have any good ideas for social distancing activities. I'm hoping to get some takeout from one of our local restaurants and have an at-home date night with Kenny. Thank goodness for Netflix in a time like this, am I right?!
