Hey there! Sorry for going MIA - I did not intend to take a week break from posting, but I am BACK today! Kenny and I have a trip to the Outer Banks planned in a few weeks, but I'm too excited to wait to start packing. 😂 I start mentally packing for a vacation as soon as it's planned, so today I thought I'd share what I have in mind to bring on our late-summer beach trip.

When you're headed to the beach, you obviously need some beach outfits! This has been my favorite swimsuit this year, I got it in a couple of colors! I like spicing up my cover-up outfits with something like an oversized button down or a pair of linen shorts. I also splurged on some chic waterproof sandals recently, and I love them!

This is something I would wear on a day out shopping or for a casual lunch run! I love a good shirt dress (which can double as a cover-up!), and I've been belting them with this rattan belt from Amazon lately. A good straw hat is a must-have at the beach, and I love rounding the look out with a pair of tried-and-true neutral sandals and a straw bag. I'll probably pack a few different shirt dresses and wear a couple of different variations of this same outfit!

One of my favorite things to do at the beach is to go on sunrise walks! It can be kind of chilly in the mornings with the ocean breeze, so I usually wear some comfy shorts and an oversized sweatshirt, plus a hat to keep my hair in check. Don't forget a bag for any amazing shells you might find!

I love spending an afternoon at Jennette's Pier when I'm at the Outer Banks, it's fun watching people fish and you see some crazy catches sometimes! This take on a classic denim and white outfit something I would wear to walk the pier - casual but cute!

Kenny and I love doing sunset sails anytime we vacation near the water. Last year we sailed with Downeast Rover, and we'll definitely do that again this time! This outfit is something I would wear on a sunset sail - a good pair of off-white jeans and a preppy sweater to stave off the chill on the water. Don't forget your sunglasses, and a pair of flat shoes to walk the deck in!

Last but not least, something that I would wear to dinner on a deck or patio! I rarely dress *too* fancy at the beach, but it's nice to get a little dressed up for dinner. Outfits like this one are a go-to for me (I styled a very similar one in this post) - they're so easy to throw on and look put together! All you need is a crisp white dress, fun headband, and your favorite neutral sandals.
