OBX 2024 Disposables

Hello hello! I finally got my disposable camera from my family beach trip this June developed, so today I'm sharing some summer memories as we round out August. It's SO crazy that summer is winding down already, we've had the best time and just like every year previous, I never want it to end.

Night one - my mom got right down to business by ordering a dozen steamed crabs and picked her heart out!

The house that we rent had a brand new pool this summer which was a total game-changer - we had even more fun than usual! It was really great being able to extend beach days by moving to the pool once we got worn out at the beach.

Taking advantage of happy hour at Fish Heads - 20 shrimp for $4!

This day was forecasted to be stormy so we didn't go to the beach - this was before walking down to the Outer Banks fishing pier to check out their shop.

That night, the storms rolled out so we walked the beach at sunset.

Sunrise fishing with my dad and brother - they love doing this every morning and I always roll myself out of bed to join them at least once.

Bocce! My dad and I always play against Kenny and Stuart and we've never won. 😂 We've come close though! Plus, we're better sports.

Truly my favorite place ever. 😍

We had a kayaking trip that got cancelled due to wind, so instead we explored Rodanthe and Hatteras. This was at Island Convenience where we stopped for a quick breakfast.

On the way back "home," we stopped by Oregon Inlet!

The storms we were promised finally hit, so we played some Rummikub!

Pretzel time. 😂

Pre-dinner limoncello spritzes!

After dinner when the rain stopped, we headed down to the beach! My dad did not stay long, but I caught him for a pic while he was wearing my brother's silly sweatshirt. 😂

Mom and me!

Climbing the lifeguard stands after-hours will never not be thrilling to me. 😂

My brother will take any opportunity he can to fish - it looked dark out but the sun was still setting!

Last day at the beach - my dad caught a fish!

I hate to leave... I wish this were us right now!

One last dinner at Fish Heads, which was our home away from home at this point in the week!

Had to get a little beach photo shoot in while we waited for a table!

I love the phone versions of these photos of Kenny and me - I made one my profile picture, replacing another OBX photo from a few years ago!

Stu and me!

Waiting for the sunrise on the day we had to head back home - it's always nice to get an early start and enjoy the beach one last time. It was sprinkling so we got damp but that couldn't run us off!

After the sunrise - don't make us leave!

We took a new route home through Manteo rather than back up through Kitty Hawk. We had to stop to look for our local kitty friend, Shamus - we were so glad we found him!

I had one last exposure left after the beach, so I had my brother snap this pic of my mom and me at our Fourth of July celebration drinking Barboursville brut rosé. Delicious!

Love ya like summer!
