Trend Spotlight: Pink and Red

Pink and red aren't just for Valentine's Day, girl! They're the cutest way to exude femininity ANY time of year. From sundresses to fuzzy beanies, you can incorporate this color combo into any season. I'm focusing on more warm weather pieces today with springtime settling in, but while browsing I did also see some great pieces for colder weather too, like knitwear and outerwear.

  1. Ruffle dress: If a dress has ruffles, game over, it has to be mine. This one is so girly and darling, while being a statement maker at the same time.
  2. Toile Dress: Julia Engel is doing everything right with her Gal Meets Glam Collection, and this dress is no exception. The classic toile pattern is so feminine and elegant, and the unexpected pink and red combination gives it a certain flirtiness.
  3. Earrings: While the actual styles change, statement earrings will be around forever, so they're a great way to rock a trend (LIKE the pink and red trend, or the shell jewelry trend!)
  4. Sneakers: These are everything, I have nothing else to say about them. Sneakers don't have to match your outfit whatsoever, so they're a great way to rock a random, unnecessary color combination unapologetically.
  5. Bandana: This one is pricey, but if you're going to splurge on an accessory, I think that a scarf is a great choice. They're versatile and will always be in style, especially smaller, more understated bandana styles like this one.
  6. Pajamas: Striped pajamas are a classic, and this color combo is just plain fun. I'm someone who still likes looking cute even just around the house, and you don't have to put any thought into it with loungewear this adorable.
  7. Bow mules: Come on, you can't deny these mules! I LOVE a statement shoe, I think it's a great way to add some personality to a more neutral outfit.
  8. Bikini top and bottoms: I love the colorblocking of this set, I think it really complements the simple, modest cut.
  9. Pencil dress: This dress is SO stunning, it's colorblocked so that it's mostly pink on the front and mostly red on the back. I think it would make a really great wedding guest dress.
  10. Tee: I fell in love with a pink and red ban.do tee last spring which is unfortunately no longer in stock, but it will not be missed because they have SO many other adorable options. I tend to find slogan tees tacky, but they do them well.
