Clinique Black Honey |
I'm not very daring when it comes to lip shades, the craziest thing I'll wear is a red lip around the holidays. When it comes to everyday lip shades I stay pretty neutral, but tend to shift to darker shades in the fall and winter. Today I'm sharing my 6 favorite lip shades for fall, most of which are under $10!
1. Milani Teddy Bare: This is my newest go-to, I got it after seeing Lex Nicoleta recommend it in this post! It's a deep nude shade in a nice satin finish.
2. Clinique Black Honey: This is a product that has really stood the test of time - it was released in 1971! It's a tinted balm in a universally flattering shade, and I really do think it would look great on anyone. Top it with your favorite gloss and you have a beautiful, juicy lip combo that makes it look like you just bit into a ripe blackberry. A great look for less that I also love is the Covergirl Bliss You Berry tinted balm.
3. Maybelline Nude Nuance: This has been my go-to lipstick shade for as long as I can remember! It's a deep nude similar to Milani Teddy Bare with a more matte finish.
4. Maybelline Touchable Taupe: For my cool-toned girls, this is a great neutral lipstick shade! It's a taupe-leaning nude in a nice satin finish.
5. Ulta Mischievous: Ulta recently repackaged their Luxe Lipsticks, and luckily kept my two favorite shades! I did a whole review on the formulas here. "Mischievous" is a beautiful, wearable deep rose. It's a dupe for Bite Beauty Glace, which was a favorite of mine that's since been discontinued. I also love the shade "More Mauve," but get more wear of that one during the warmer months.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Kenny and I did another hike on Saturday and then met friends at a winery afterward, followed by dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. It was pretty much my dream day! Yesterday we had dinner at my parents' to celebrate my brother's birthday which was fun as always!
