February always feels so short after how long January always seems to drag on! I mean, it IS shorter, but it always seems to fly by in comparison. Now we are in March, and the time change is just around the corner. I am SO EXCITED for longer days and warmer temps as we inch closer to summer! Just like last month, I don't have a ton of favorites to share with you todya! Half of them are food, I guess that's just winter for you. 😂 Hopefully this time next month I will have some more exciting things to share!
- Fever Tree olive brine: I've raved about the Dirty Sue olive brine for dirty martinis for over a year now, and I've loved it so much that I even included it in my yearly favorites post! WELL, I might have to redact it from my favorites because the last time my friend and I both bought it, it tasted soapy and completely undrinkable! I poured almost a whole bottle down the drain after trying it a couple times, and set out to find a new favorite. This Fever Tree brine has been my new go-to!
- Tangelos: I love citrus season, it's a bright spot in winter! Tangelos are my FAVORITE citrus fruit to eat - if you've never tried one you have to!! They're also called minneolas, and they're the sweetest, juciest tangerine/orange hybrid. I can only ever find them when they're in season, so I eat as many as I can this time of year!
- Heart spoon rest: I've been on the hunt for a new spoon rest for months, and I fell in love with this one when I saw it! Kenny got it for me for Valentine's Day. 😍 Its size and shape are such that you can fit 2 utensils on it which I've really enjoyed.
- Poppi Shirley Temple: I bought this on a whim and it's SO good, it tastes just like a Shirley Temple! It reminds me of being a kid and feeling SO cool when I could get a Shirley Temple at a restaurant. 😂 I compared it to the Bloom brand version and theirs was horrible, it tasted so chemically and artificial. The Poppi one is better by far, I stocked up on some more over the weekend!
- High-rise straight jeans: These are my most-worn jeans - I have them in five washes and the black are my most recent purchase! I got them in a long to wear with heeled boots to the office. I'm 5'6" but I have long legs and a short torso so the long isn't too long for me at all.
- Red cowboy boots: My parents surprised me with these as a Christmas gift and I've been loving styling them! I plan on sharing a post of some outfits I've worn them with so far.
- Mrs. Millers egg noodles: For winter comfort dishes like noodle soup and stroganoff, these egg noodles are the BEST! They come in different widths and the texture stands up to being heated and reheated in broth. I find these in the pasta section of my local grocery stores, but they're online too if you can't find them.
- Boot cut jeans: I have not owned boot cut jeans in YEARS, maybe since elementary school! But I needed some to wear with my cowboy boots, and these are really flattering. The best part is they're LONG ENOUGH! I'm of very average height but still find most jeans to be too short for me, so getting a pair of jeans that's plenty long is so refreshing! They're super stretchy and are meant to fit up to 4 different sizes. I will say, I think these are best suited to people in the middle of the size range rather than the higher end. I usually wear a 2/26 in jeans, sometimes a 4/27, so I got the 00-4 size in these and the waist JUST fits. I think this size would be best suited for someone who is a true size 0-2.
- Watching: Kenny and I went to see Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, and it was the most fun I've had at the theater in years! Neither of us had any idea what it was about before we saw it and I think it was even better going into it without any expectations. It was SO funny, I was seriously grinning the whole time. The movie stands alone, but it's apparently a follow up project from a web show and a TV show from several years ago, so I am definitely interested in watching those too. As always, I'm liking the latest season of Love is Blind. The guys this season... Some of them need to WATCH THEMSELVES!
Have a great week! Do you have warm weather on the forecast?? It's calling for a little snow in Virginia today and then by the weekend it's supposed to be almost 80°! I cannot WAIT for that!
