We made it to MAY! Summer is almost here! We've had the MOST beautiful weather in Virginia the past few days (sunny and in the 80's!) and I have been absolutely living it up going on walks, sitting on the porch with Roxy, and planting some flowers in my outdoor pots. My favorites this month definitely reflect my warm weather mindset.
- BP. sunglasses: I've had these affordable sunglasses for several years but they've been my go-tos lately, so I had to include them in this month's favorites! I have them in both the tortoise and black, and you can actually get both pairs for $20 - cheaper than Amazon!
- Tanologist drops: This is my go-to tanning product because it's low-maintenance and customizable. I apply it mixed in with my body lotion after a shower 3-4 times a week. I usually mix the dark with the extra dark (I am pale AF) and it isn't too dark or orange on me because you can add as many drops as you need to achieve your desired shade.
- Replica "Never Ending Summer": I love smelling any of the new Replica fragrances, and I ESPECIALLY love summer fragrances, so I had to give this one a try. It's a very unique bitter citrus scent and smells to me like an Aperol spritz!
- Seashell doormat: I LOOOVE anything seashell-themed, so I bought this doormat as soon as I saw it. It brings me such joy coming and going from my house!
- 20oz Stanley tumbler: When the Stanley x LoveShackFancy collab dropped, I wanted one of the 20oz tumblers so bad because it was the first time they had offered them with a handle and they just looked so cute! I talked myself out of buying one because they were like $50, but now they make the "regular" colors with the handle so I talked myself INTO getting one of those. 😂 I definitely didn't need it but it's super cute and brings me joy to use.
- Red Mary Jane’s: I was eyeing these and Kenny ended up getting them for me as a gift! They're surprisingly versatile and a great shoe for spring transitional weather. They're not the MOST comfortable (ballet flats often aren't), but I can wear them all day without having to change.
- Climbing Rose candle: This candle is a gorgeous fresh floral that surprisingly reminds me a lot of Diptyque Baies for a fraction of the price. I recommended it to a friend and she loves it too!
- Baroque pearl necklace: This was one of my favorite accessories last spring and summer and I'm so glad it's still in stock this year - I'm wearing it as I write this post! It's under $100 (and often on sale for up to 50% off) but looks much more expensive. No one would never know it's not made from genuine pearls!
- Black bucket hat: Another month, another favorite bucket hat. 😂 This black one is so chic, and its best feature is that the edge of the brim is lined with a thin piece of plastic so that it won't flop down into your eyes. It also has an adjustable sizer inside the crown for the perfect fit.
- Nude eyeliner: I've been using the Tarte Fake Awake to brighten my waterline, but it ran out and I replaced it with this one which I actually like even more. It's creamier and easier to apply, and it's much less expensive and available at the drugstore!
- Snap peas: Snap peas have been my hyperfixation snack lately - they're so sweet and crunchy, I can't get enough while they're in season!
- Watching: I watched lots of different things this month! Kenny and I watched two "older" movies (from the 2010's) They Came Together and Popstar. Both are star-studded comedies that I'd recommend when you're in the mood for something funny and unserious. We've been enjoying the new seasons of Hacks and The Rehearsal. Maybe my favorite thing I've watched this month has been Lucas Cruikshank (AKA Fred, remember??) and his brother Jacob on YouTube. They do a lot of travel and food review videos and they're SO funny, their dry humor gets me every time!
I hope you have a great end to your week! I don't really have plans for the weekend, but I think my mom and I are going to get pedicures together at some point (much needed, in my case!)
xoxx, Laura
I’m dying to smell the replica perfume!!
