A mainstay in a classic preppy wardrobe is an American flag sweater. I wear mine year-round, but especially late spring through early fall. There are SO many great ones available right now at all different price points, so I wanted to share as many as I could ahead of all the Memorial Day and Fourth of July celebrations, and upcoming beach and lake trips. 😎
The classic option is the Ralph Lauren flag sweater - expensive but will last you a lifetime! The women's style is fairly fitted, I recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit. My tip for getting one for a better deal is to sign up for emails for the Polo Factory Store. They send 25-30% off coupons fairly regularly that you can use on flag sweaters in-store, which will get you around $100 off.
Tuckernuck is known for their flag sweaters too - this one is a classic, and they also have some in pops of color like this one!
On the much more affordable side, you can opt for the sweater I'm wearing above! It's 100% cotton and also comes in white. It's true to size and has a relaxed fit and hits at the hip. Another great inexpensive option is this one from Target. This one is SUPER soft and currently on sale for $23!
