November Favorites

Just like that, we're in the final month of 2024! I know the next month is going to fly by with how busy the holiday season is. I have a good assortment of favorites to share today, including several fashion favorites and some long time recurring favorites!

    1. Mrs. Meyer's Snowdrop: The Mrs. Meyer's snowdrop scent has been a seasonal favorite of mine for the past few years, and it's back for the winter season! I use the hand soap and cleaning spray, and they also have dish soap and a candle available.
    2. Nash Bars: One of my besties recommended these, and they're very good for a "clean" protein bar. I cannot stomach protein bars that are chalky, and these are a bit dry but don't have that horrible chalky protein flavor. My favorite one is the peanut butter chocolate chip, but they're all good. These are made to order, so they do "drops" usually every Thursday - check the top banner of the site for the next sale date.
    3. Floral embroidered headband: I love the floral details on this puffy velvet headband - Kenny even said he liked it when I first started wearing it! It's a fun accent for all black and loungewear outfits.
    4. Barbour plaid cape: This is a great classic, cozy fall accessory! I like wearing it over an all black base, with jeans and a white button up, or over a white shirt dress or sweater dress - see one way I styled it recently here.
    5. 2oz measuring cup: This mini measuring cup is something that I have used for years on a weekly basis and just had to repurchase, so I thought it deserved a spot on the blog. It's ideal for measuring small amounts of liquid ingredients, especially for cocktails!
    6. Teddy coat: I always gravitate toward chocolate brown in the fall and winter, and I fell in love with this teddy coat as soon as I saw it! It's usually on sale under $100, I sent a link to my one of my besties and she bought one too! I haven't worn it out yet, I'm actually saving it in case someone wants to give it to me as a Christmas gift. 😎 I sized down to an XS based on the reviews and it fits nicely with plenty of room to layer. The fleece material is super soft and doesn't feel like it will get matted easily. Roxy loves sleeping on it, so you know it's extra cozy when it's kitty-approved!
    7. Slim fit earplugs: This is random and boring, but if you have small ears like me, did you know they make slim fit earplugs?? I have such a hard time with earplugs, they never fit right! These still aren't perfect, but they're better than any others I've tried - I mainly use them for sleeping when we have our windows cracked.
    8. Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline: This is one of my all-time favorite perfumes - I've gone through multiple bottles of it, that's my marker of a keeper! I wear it mostly in the fall and winter, although it's a great year round fragrance for both day and night. It's very fresh and "neutral" in that it doesn't learn floral, sweet, etc. I get a lot of compliments on this scent and it has great longevity for an EDT.
    9. H&M straight jeans: I have been searching for the perfect black jeans for years, and finally found what I was looking for in these! They are true black (not a washed black), high waisted, LONG not cropped (I'm 5'7" and can wear these with heels without a cropped look), and non-stretch true denim. They are true to size, they start out a bit stiff but break in nicely - if you normally size up in stiff denim, I would recommend doing that with these. I highly recommend them! They come in 6 different washes currently, not just black. Some of my favorite jeans I own are from H&M, they have tons of styles and they're hit or miss but the ones that are good are a GREAT deal - these are only $40!
    10. Thymes Frasier Fir candle: As we enter the Christmas season head first, I have to highlight my FAVORITE holiday candle! This is the best pine candle of all of the pine candles out there - I know that's a bold claim, but once you smell it you'll be hooked like me. You can sometimes find them at T.J.Maxx/HomeGoods/Marshalls, so keep an eye out next time you're there!
    11. Watching: I'm enjoying the second part of the latest Outer Banks season, although it's stressing me out!! Kenny and I have also still been enjoying It's Florida, Man, which I mentioned in last month's post. Really nothing else new to mention! We have been re-watching The Sopranos because Kenny watched it last year but I only watched bits and pieces, and I am rewatching Gossip Girl for the 37th time. 😂

I hope you had a great holiday weekend! I had the entire week off work which was SO nice, I had a massage on Monday and then had plenty of time to help my mom prep for Thanksgiving - my parents always host! Friday, my mom and I continued our annual tradition of going to holiday open houses at local businesses, then on Saturday Kenny and I went to the JMU vs. Marshall football game - go Dukes! They're playing in a bowl game and the date and matchup haven't been announced yet, but I look forward to it!
