It's almost summertime, and I've broken out my favorite American flag sweaters! I wear them year-round, but especially in the summer with the season unofficially being bookended by Memorial Day and Labor Day, and the Fourth of July right in the middle.
The most classic flag sweater is Ralph Lauren flag sweater - it's expensive but will last you a lifetime! The women's style is fairly fitted, I recommend sizing up or going with the men's version for a more relaxed fit. My tip for getting one for a better deal is to sign up for emails for the Polo Factory Store. They send 25-30% off coupons fairly regularly that you can use on flag sweaters in-store, which will get you around $100 off.
I always eye Tuckernuck for their flag sweaters - this one is a classic, and they also have some in pops of color like this one. How fun is the pink?!
On the much more affordable side, you can opt for this year's version of the sweater I'm wearing above! It's 100% cotton and also comes in white. It's true to size and has a relaxed fit and hits at the hip. Another great inexpensive option is this one from Target. I also love this oatmeal-colored one from Quince.
I'm linking some good men's options above as well - I like mens sweaters when I'm looking for a relaxed fit. This 100% cotton one is perfection, and this one is on sale for $22!
Do you have anything on the books for Memorial Day weekend? Kenny and I have tickets to see Brad Paisley, but I'm bummed because it's supposed to be in the 50's and rainy! That is NOT very MDW... Spring weather always throws me for a loop, but this year has seemed particularly all over the place! I'm just hoping for the temps to stabilize in time for my bestie's wedding next month!
