January Favorites

February, we have arrived! I know many people felt like January was the LOOONGEST month - I normally feel that way, but I didn't feel that as much this year. I have my eyes on the prize AKA summer, so I hope to get through these next few months as seamlessly as possible! Despite a long-ish month, I don't have as many favorites to share as usual. It's still a good lineup though, so read on for the deets!

    1. Burberry Classic perfume: Kenny gifted me this perfume for Christmas and I had never smelled it before, but it is amazing!! It has notes of peach, apricot, sandalwood, amber, cedarwood, and musk. To me, it's a really nice "skin" scent with a sweet hit of peach.
    2. Ring sizers: I have two rings that are a little too big but I didn't know if I wanted to have sized, so I ordered these ring sizers from Amazon and they work like a charm! They're under $6 and come with different sizes depending on the width of your ring band. You can trim them to the proper length and the set can be used for many rings!
    3. Cream cat eye sunglasses: These sunglasses have been on my wish list forever, and I finally found them in store to try them on! They're a great look for less for the Illesteva Donna frames that I fell in love with on Julia Berolzheimer
    4. Palm Noosa Noddy dress: As soon as I saw this dress, I splurged on it because I could not bear the thought of living my life without it. I somehow caught it on sale which I think might've been a fluke, but I'll take it! It's the same style as my tomato dress which is another one of my all-time favorite dresses. I take the Australian size 8 according to the size chart, and it is still oversized so you could size down for less fabric.
    5. OPI "Chiffon My Mind": This is one of my all-time favorite nail shades - I wore it for my wedding! It's a beautiful translucent, milky white with a touch of shimmer.
    6. Cotton rollneck sweater: This is the perfect classic cotton sweater, and it's only $26! It comes in four colors, I got the white and the navy. It's true to size but I sized up one size to a medium for a little extra room and to accommodate for any potential shrinking. It comes in and out of stock so keep an eye on it if you're interested!
    7. Reversible huggie earrings: These earrings have been on my wish list for years, and Kenny gifted them to me for Christmas (at my request 😂)! I've been wearing them almost every day along with my diamond studs in my second piercing.
    8. Acrylic mini end table: I've been looking for a small table to put my drinks on while sitting outside on the deck - Kenny got me this one and I love it! I haven't used it outside yet, but we have a very long couch so I've been using it inside until it gets warmer out!
    9. Cross stitch pattern: I purposefully did not include a photo of this cross stitch in the collage because I'm working on it as a surprise for a friend and I didn't want to risk her seeing it before I gave it to her! I LOVE cross stitching and this has been a really cute pattern to work on. I made some customizations to it to personalize it, so I'll share photos on Insta soon after I give it to her!
    10. Watching: Kenny said we had to watch The Kings of Tupelo on Netflix and OMG it is my favorite thing that I've watched in a long time! It's a three-episode documentary that involves Elvis impersonators, black market organ sales, and a presidential assassination attempt... The people in the documentary are truly CHARACTERS and it's edited together so perfectly. I also started the Molly Mae documentary on Amazon and it's so good so far. I just Adore Molly Mae, and the fact that the show was originally supposed to chronicle her and Tommy's wedding planning breaks my heart! But it's even better to see her succeeding in light of what happened with their relationship. Last, I watched You're Cordially Invited on Amazon - it's a rom-com, and while rom-coms will never be the same as they were in the 2000's, it was cute and I loved seeing Reese Witherspoon, Will Ferrell, and Jake McBrayer.

I hope you had a great weekend! Kenny and I had a really cool experience on Saturday - we got to go to a concert in a cave! Grand Caverns is hosting a series of intimate shows this winter and my parents snagged tickets to the Dogwood Tales date - one of Kenny's friends plays in the band so it was extra special! Yesterday I had my usual Sunday reset, and we watched the Grammys! Check out my Instagram stories for my personal analysis of the red carpet looks. 😎
