1. Mineral sunscreen: I typically use mineral sunscreen on my face because it's better for my skin type. My everyday favorites are the Hero Cosmetics Force Shield and the La Roshe Posay tinted one - I often mix them together. Mineral sunscreen can have white cast issues, but I don't have that issue with either of those. I also recently got this one to try!
2. SPF Lip Balm: I am a lip balm afficianado, and SPF lip balms are very important to me when I'm outside in the summer, my lips burn easily! My favorite one currently (and my brother's favorite!) is the Jack Black brand, and I also love the Sun Bum balm.
3. Hat: I cannot go into the sun without a hat! You can't beat a classic baseball hat, but for something dressier I've been loving this one and I also wear this one often.
4. Sunglasses: If I forget my sunglasses it ruins my day, and they're especially necessary at the beach! There are many pairs I love, but my favorite over the past few years have been this under $20 pair from Amazon. I have a few of them so that if I misplace one, I have a backup. They're super comfortable and lightweight, have great coverage, and they're unisex!
5. UPF Shirt: The Columbia sun protection shirts are a lifesaver for me when I'm out in the sun for long periods of time. They make it so that it's not as big of a deal if I go too long between sunscreen reapplications. My favorite style is the "Bahama II," and I prefer the men's version over the women's because they have a more relaxed fit. I get my normal size in the men's, and I like to size up one in the women's for a little extra room.
