WE DID IT, we made it through January! Although it doesn't feel any less January outside - we're still covered in snow and ice here in Virginia, and I know many of you are in the same boat! I almost skipped my favorite post this month because I don't have as many things to include as I usually do, but I still have some gems so let's talk about them. 😎
- Wine Cellar candle: THIS IS MAJOR, PEOPLE! This is my favorite candle of ALL time and it has finally been re-released for the first time in years! It's so cozy and smells expensive, I literally bought seven to make sure I'm stocked up in case it goes away again!
- OPI Black Cherry Chutney and Miami Beet: I wore two of my favorite nail shades this month! Black Cherry Chutney is a gorgeous deep plum that's almost black. I alternated between that one and Stop It I'm Blushing all throughout college, and I love it so much I might get it again this month! I also wore Miami Beet, which is a beautiful deep, almost reddish pink.
- Choker and pendant: My mom got me this choker for my birthday to go with a fun vintage seashell pendant. I've been keeping an eye out for other pendant options that I can wear on it and I love this one, it sparkles so brightly.
- Makoto ginger dressing: I've mentioned this dressing several times before, but I'm in a phase of craving it again so I wanted to shout it out! It's a delicious fresh ginger dressing, sort of comparable to the ginger dressing served at Japanese restaurants but not exactly the same. It's usually stocked in the produce section because it has to remain refrigerated.
- Wedding band: You all know I LOVE perusing TheRealReal, and my latest find was a new wedding band. I've always wanted a chunkier diamond wedding band, and I found one in my size for an amazing deal. It has 11 stones and Kenny and I have been together for 11 years so that helped me justify the purchase. 😂 It's similar to this one but I got mine for a MUCH better price!
- Abercrombie cardigan: My parents got me this cardigan for Christmas and I think I've worn it 10 times since then! It's so chic - I took photos styling it that I'll post later this week. It's true to size and on clearance!
- Portable snow removal kit: The weekend of the snow/ice storm, Kenny and I were supposed to travel to West Virginia for a concert. THANKFULLY it got postponed, but we were still considering making the trip and I knew we'd need HELP if we did. I ordered this portable snow removal kit to keep in my car, and even though we didn't leave the house that weekend, I still ended up using this and loving it. It comes with a telescopic arm with an interchangeable brush head, ice scraper, and shovel, plus a bag to store everything in. The shovel is decently heavy for the size and has a metal edge to help really get through the snow. I loved having the brush for sweeping snow off my car roof and windshields - I usually use a full-size broom but this was way easier. 😂 For around $30, I highly recommend this kit to keep in your car just in case!
- Watching: I didn't watch anything new that I loved in January! Do you have any recommendations? Kenny and I started Black Rabbit on Netflix but we're only a few episodes in, so I can't give it a proper review. It's so crazy to see Jude Law using an American accent! I've heard great things about The Diplomat on Netflix is great and gets better by the season, so I may start that soon!
I hope you have a great week!! I was talking to one of my besties this weekend and we've both been in a funk lately. I attribute a lot of that just to the winter season and feeling cooped up inside, but we both have various other "life" things weighing on us too. If you're in the same boat, just hang in there and know you're never alone. 💗
