March Favorites

Spring has finally sprung, and I am so ready to ditch the winter tones and temperatures in favor of lighter, brighter days and pieces! My favorites from March reflect that - I've got a great list for you today!

    1. Lady jacket: Classic lady jackets have been at the front of every preppy girl's closet for the past few years, and this one is absolutely perfect. I have it in two colors and it's the same quality as my J.Crew Emilie for a fraction of the price - it's on sale for $23 which makes it a must-buy!
      1. Nollie Blush perfume: I randomly smelled this affordable perfume when Kenny and I popped into PacSun a few weeks ago, and it certainly surprised me! When I checked the notes (pear, apple, rose, jasmine, musk, and cedarwood), it's no wonder I like it - anything with pear always catches my attention! It's a very fruity floral that's perfect for springtime.
      2. Brami pasta: I like trying new protein pastas, and this one is my favorite that I've had so far. It only has two ingredients and tastes basically just like "normal" pasta. The best part is that it's available at Walmart, so you don't have to venture out to health food stores if you live in a town like me with only basic grocery stores!
      3. Cremo Italian Bergamot body wash: This body wash was a Sydney Carver rec - I got it for my husband and it smells SO good, I always think he put cologne on after he uses it!
      4. Drity Sue olive brine: A plight that my fellow dirty martini drinkers know well is the disappointment of running out of olive brine before you finish your olives. This olive brine eliminates that issue! I had seen a few recommendations for this bottled brine and knew I had to try it - among the few I've tried, this is definitely my favorite and will be my go-to from now on.
      5. David Yurman cable buckle bracelet: I've been stalking the pre-loved market for this bracelet for several months, and finally snagged one for a great price on TheRealReal. It was fairly tarnished when I got it which I think is why it was such a great price, but it polished up perfectly and looks good as new - I had to look hard to find a scratch on it. It stacks perfectly with my peridot cuff that Kenny got me last Christmas (also from TheRealReal!)
      6. Bow signet ring: I wear signet rings a lot, and when I saw this bow engraved one I had to make it mine! There are a few other engraving options, including a heart, an XO, and champagne glasses (cute!!)
      7. OPI "Eurso Euro": I wanted to try a *daring* (well, for me) nail shade for our recent trip to Florida, and I was so pleasantly surprised at how much I LOVE this rich blue color!! I would definitely get it again, it's a shade deeper than royal blue and looks surprisingly flattering against my ultra-fair skin tone.
      8. Cap toe ballet flats: I recently delved back into the world of ballet flats after not owning any for over 10 years. I've always been wary of flats because they tend to be uncomfortable despite lacking heels and constrictive toe shapes, but these could not be more comfortable! They're constructed from the perfect buttery leather that molds to fit your foot within the first wear - you'll forget you have these on. The grosgrain toe cap is the perfect Chanel-inspired touch that doubles as an extra layer of protection for the leather in that area. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than my usual size based on reviews and they fit perfectly.
      9. Straw bucket hat: I know I just recently featured a straw bucket hat in a favorites post, but I like this one even more than the last one! It's packable so it won't get irreparably crushed during your travels, and the brim is the perfect width so that it stays stiff rather than flopping into your face.
      10. Bright Sun Travels: I've followed Jake's Bright Sun Films channel for many years, but only recently discovered his travel channel. I've been LOVING watching his detailed reviews of hotels, resorts, and cruise ships. His scripts are the perfect combination of informative critical, and snarky. I might even prefer the "bad" reviews to the positive ones. 😂

I hope you're having a great start to spring and didn't get got by any April Fools jokes today - I have the brain of a goldfish when it comes to April Fools Day, no number of tricks or pranks will increase my vigilance for the next one. 😂
