Winter Black Watch

Happy weekend, my friends! After all the plaid of the holidays, I like to tone it down with a bit of black watch. It's a nice departure from the typical flat dark tones of the winter while still feeling seasonally appropriate.

My dress is the "Twiggy" style from Tuckernuck - it's not currently in stock but I'm linking several pre-loved options that are available. It's true to size (I'm in the small) and the velvet collar is removable if you want to switch up the style. It's a wool blend so it provides a nice buffer from the winter chill, and it's lined to combat itchiness.

I gathered up all of my current favorite black watch plaid pieces to share along with my dress - scroll through the widget below to see them.

This dress is another Tuckernuck find and I've seen several other bloggers rave about it. It's a great transitional piece as we move into spring and then back into fall later in the year. I LOVE this maxi skirt complete with a bow tie sash. 😍 I love a wrap scarf and this one is on major sale for only $25 - I would style it exactly like they have it on the model! If you're in the market for a chic and fun winter coat, this one is gorgeous and will always be in style.

I have to shout out my favorite tights - available here and here. I wear the "B" size. I know a lot of people despise wearing tights but I love them, and these are quite durable for the price.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Do you have fun plans? Kenny is at the tail end of a cold, and I'm doing my best not to catch it. 😂 So we don't have any big plans as of yet! I've been working on a custom cross stitch project for my friend that I've been really enjoying, and I'm in the final stages of it so I may finish it this weekend while we're laying low. I'll share photos of it next month after I give it to her - the design is a surprise so I look forward to revealing it to her!
