Similar dress (also love this one) | Sweater | Similar bag | Sandals |
Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing an easy outfit that's easily recreated with pieces you probably already have in your closet. You know I love a shirt dress, so when I saw this puff sleeve midi a few years ago I knew I would get a lot of wear out of it. There are lots of similar ones currently available - I love that this one is tapered around the waist for a flattering silhouette.
Can you believe I bought this sweater on eBay in like 2011?? I bought tons of Ralph Lauren pieces on eBay during high school, which speaks to both their quality and their longevity as classic wardrobe staples.
I splurged on these sandals this spring and have enjoyed every minute of wearing them. They're whimsically unique while still being wearable, and they're true to size. People always comment on them - the scalloped heel is a detail that makes them stand out!
I hope you had a great weekend! Friday night we went with my parents to Orkney Springs to see a Fleetwood Mac cover band. The music was good but what really impressed Kenny and me was the beautiful property of the venue. I hadn't been there since elementary school and it is THE perfect place to spend a beautiful August evening.
On Saturday, Kenny and I did a couple of hikes in the Shenandoah National Park and then caught a showing of Weapons. I was really excited to see it because I loved Barbarian from the same writer (Zach Cregger) and I had heard nothing but rave reviews about it, but it honestly didn't sit right with me! I was in a weird mood already going into it, and all of the gory scenes really upset me in a way that I wouldn't have anticipated. I think the older I get, the less I can stomach things like that because it sometimes feels too real! I felt the same way when I tried to watch Yellowjackets, which is another piece that I thought I'd love. Maybe another time when I was in a different mindset it wouldn't have upset me in the same way, but I will definitely still check out anything else Zach Cregger puts out because I like his style!
